Yeni  Kuti

Omoyeni Anikulapo-Kuti is an On Air Personality, Actress, social media influencer, Fashionista, Afrobeat dance Instructor, and descendant of the Ransome Kuti Family.

Born in England, Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti is the first child of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. She completed her basic and secondary education in Nigeria after leaving the United Kingdom at the age of two.

She holds a diploma in journalism from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism.

Omoyeni Kuti began her entertainment career in performing arts and choreography, an art which she mastered and excelled at for 28 years. Having performed in various countries including China, Japan,America, Ghana, France, Britain and Brazil just to mention a few.

Omoyeni has choreographed for events such as The Eko Sports Festival 2012, Default African Queen and so on

She pioneered the idea of Felabration, a worldwide music festival conceived to celebrate the life and contributions of her father Fela Kuti to Nigerian society. At present, Felabration is staged in over 20 countries around the world.

A stern lover of African Culture and values, Omoyeni creates her own style using various African prints thus consolidating her brand as a true Nigerian/African at heart.

Segun  Lawal

Segun Lawal is inspired by the unorthodox. He won his first dance competition as a ten year old boy growing up in the UK. His interest and passion for daring and outspoken artistic presentations grew over the years and has led to several professional performances and accolades. 

In 1997 he founded the Spirit of David Gospel Dance Club in the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife which began with seven members but has grown to over three thousand young people all over the world sharing their stories and messages of hope and life by stage and screen. He has managed over one hundred and eighty dance shows and creative sessions in close to fifty cities around the world. 

Segun Lawal is a 2008 Fellow with the Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts, Washington D.C. In 2021, he was recognized by the UK Arts Council as an Exceptional, Global Talent and is a celebrated performance and management consultant with prestigious arts organisations and individuals on four continents.

His vast experience with identifying, developing, designing and presenting creative works has seen him judge multiple, talent based competitions for over two decades. The highlight being Spirit of David’s Celebrity Takes 2 which was voted the most successful reality TV show 2007 and 2009 with over thirty million viewers in Nigeria alone. Segun was the show’s Executive Producer and Chief Judge.

Segun is a family man who serves his community as a commissioned chaplain dedicated to improving the lot of the less privileged in Lagos state, where he lives and hails from.

Ifeoma Fafunwa

Ifeoma Fafunwa is a social impact theatre-maker living and working in Lagos, Nigeria.  

She is the founder and creative director of iOpenEye, a Nigerian non-profit production company that utilises performance art to challenge the status quo and drive social change.

Her creative activism focuses on gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.  She co-wrote and directed the acclaimed woman empowerment stage play titled “HEAR WORD!” which challenges social, cultural and political norms that limit the potential and contribution of women. HEAR WORD! has been viewed by over 100,000 live audience members across Nigeria and internationally. 

The show ran at the renowned American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, The Public theatre in Manhattan, The Thalia Theatre in Hamburg and was curated for the Edinburgh International Festival. 

Ifeoma is a fellow of the Aspen Institute, the MIT Media Lab and the Radcliffe Institute at Harvard University. She is married and has four children.
